What fuels Sex Trafficking?
- The desire to produce a profit is the largest motivating force behind the institution of slavery.
- The consumer or “john” desires their next sexual addiction hit or fantasies fulfilled.
- The pimp/trafficker wants big money and will sell anyone who will make them big money. Under almost any condition.
- The same person can be bought and sold multiple times a day unlike drugs trafficking that once the product is gone it’s gone.
You cannot be anti-sex trafficking and pro porn.
They are often the same thing.
Read this awesome article from Fight the New Drug that explains how pornography and sex trafficking are linked.
It is important to think about putting filters on all of your electronic devices to help curb the unwanted pop-ups, search results and explicit websites.

STOP THE DEMAND
- Sex trafficking is a market-driven criminal industry that is based on the principles of supply and demand.
- People who purchase commercial sex increase the demand for commercial sex.
- Not viewing pornography helps decrease the demand. If people aren’t watching/viewing then there is no need for more and more photos and videos to be made.
- By not buying sex and not participating in the commercial sex industry, community members can reduce the demand for sex trafficking.

- Write a letter or email, call or post on their social media accounts
- Make responsible purchases through Fair Trade companies.
